Deborah Lilley "Debbie" Slaughter

Deborah Lilley “Debbie” Slaughter, 71, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2025 at her home.

A native of Pitt County, NC, Debbie was the wife of the late Arthur Martin “Art” Slaughter and the daughter of Herman Nathaniel “Toot” Lilley and Doris Jones Lilley, both deceased. In addition to her husband and parents, Debbie was preceded in death by an infant brother.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Leroy Owens, Jr.; granddaughters, Maggie Owens and Shelby Owens of Edenton, NC; brother, Larry Lilley (Jean) of Williamston, NC; and sister, Teresa Sells (Jeff) of Mouth of Wilson, VA.

Services by the family may be held at a later date. The family requests no food or flowers.
