David Michael "Mike" Tatem

   David Michael “Mike” Tatem, 71, of 831 Dillard’s Mill Rd., Tyner, NC, passed away Friday, February 28, 2025, in his home. 

   Mr. Tatem was born in Norfolk, VA on January 23, 1954, and was the son of the late Wilson Prike Tatem and Vera Mae Tatem. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Sandra Tatem and Linda Tatem, and brother, Wilson Tatem.

   Surviving is his wife, Carolyn “Cricket” Tatem; two brothers, Butch Tatem and Ronnie Tatem; a sister, Barbara Tatem; a daughter, Kristie Tatem; a son, Nicholas Tatem; six grandchildren, Megahn Ward, Corey Tatem, Ella Tatem, Jensen Tatem, Conner Tatem, and Karlee Tatem; and a great-grandson, Hudson Ward.

   A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 8, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in Ballard’s Bridge Baptist Church, 3025 Virginia Rd., Tyner, NC 27980.
