Daniel Gordon Morris

   Daniel Gordon Morris, 78, of 258 Willeyton Road, Gates, NC, died Monday, April 11, 2022 in his home.

   Mr. Morris was born in Maryland on July 20, 1943, and was the son of the late Leonard Ray and Viola Ann Bailey Morris. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Ann Waid Morris.

   A retired service manager with Service America Vending, he was a member of Kittrell’s United Methodist Church.

   Surviving are three children, Christopher Morris (Lori) of Plymouth, and Mark Morris (Angela) and Kimberly Adkins (David), both of Gates; 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great-grandchildren.

   A graveside memorial service is planned for later in the spring and will be held in Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, Maryland. Those arrangements, when finalized, will be updated to this obituary.
