Clinton Peele

   George Clinton Peele, 84, of 1714 Virginia Road, Edenton, NC, died Saturday, March 4, 2023 in his home.

   Mr. Peele was born in Chowan County on November 28, 1938, and was the son of the late George Thomas and Virginia Ruth Jordan Peele. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Judy Ann Davis Peele; five sisters, Mary Lou Belch, Alethia Hollowell, Cora Hollowell, Elizabeth “Lizzie” Jordan, and Ethel Privott; and by two brothers, Leslie and Charlie Peele.

   A retired foreman from United Piece & Dye, he later worked at the Evans Church Convenience Site for trash and waste deposal. He was a member of Rocky Hock Baptist Church.

   Surviving is his companion, Phyllis Flowers; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

    Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. in Damascus Christian Church Cemetery in Sunbury.
