Christine Yvonne Lilley

Christine Yvonne Lilley, a cherished wife, loving mother, devoted grandmother, peacefully passed away September 8, 2026 in Greenville, NC to go home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Born on November 5, 1947, in Columbia, NC, Christine was the daughter of the late Thomas Leroy Copeland and Thelma Brickhouse Copeland.

Christine was a lifelong homemaker whose profound love for her family was matched only by her warm hospitality and incredible cooking skills, she was known for her collard greens. Christine loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Christine loved shopping, especially for jewelry, and she was a devoted Elvis Presley Fan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Leroy Copeland and Thelma Brickhouse Copeland, her sister Shirley Howell, and one beloved grandchild.

Christine was a dedicated and nurturing presence in the lives of her family. She is survived by her loving husband, Frederick Lilley; her children, Thomas Brickhouse, Vonda Gardner (and husband Dave), Kimberly Nixon (and husband Joey), and Glenn Brickhouse. She also leaves behind her cherished twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, siblings Leroy Copeland, Janet Cole, Gentry Roughton, Penny Beasley, and Kevin Copeland.

A private service will be held at the family homestead.
