Charles T. White

Charles T. White, 82, of 168 Swaynes Lane, Hertford, NC, passed away Saturday, December 6, 2025.

Charles was born in Fouke, Arkansas on December 19, 1942, and was the son of the late Cornelius T. White and Opal “Billie” White.

Charles is preceded in death by his first wife, Judy Todd White, daughter, Patricia Joyce White and grandchild, Dawn Renee Johnson.

Charles is survived by his wife, Wanda Lamb White; daughters, Teresa Ben-Dor (Ron) of Hertford, NC, and Brenda Johnson of Elizabeth City, NC; son, David A. White (Amanda) of Hertford, NC; twelve grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Charles attended Beulah Heights Bible College in Atlanta, GA, also serving in the United States Air Force, then later went on to serve in the United States Army National Guard. Charles was a minister at the United Christian Church and Ministerial Association. He later received his doctorate in Religious Education.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00, Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Home, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford, NC with Pastor Lee Porter, Sheri and Michael Caron officiating.

Burial will be private at White-Blanchard Family Cemetery in Woodville, NC.
