Charles “Martin” Fleetwood, 72, of Edenton, NC passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2026.

Born on February 25, 1954, Martin was preceded in death by his parents, Julius Maynard Fleetwood, Jr. and Mary Haste Fleetwood. Martin was the proud owner/operator of Yeopim Farms Landscaping for over 37 years serving many clients throughout Northeast, NC.

Survivors include his sister, June Fleetwood Torrence and husband, David Russell Terrence; very special niece, Kali Lauren Torrence; nephews, Danny McGuinness and wife, Tharani, and Billy McGuinness and wife, Laura; niece, Megan Fleetwood East and husband, Chris; and many great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to his parents, Martin was preceded in death by his brother, Julius Maynard “Jule” Fleetwood, III.

The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at the Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Home, Edenton, NC.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at the Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Home Chapel, Edenton, NC. Interment will follow at Beaver Hill Cemetery. Immediately following the interment, the family will greet friends at Martin’s residence, 368 Hopewell Road, Edenton, NC 27932.
