Cedric Michael Leach, Sr.

   Cedric Michael “Noodie” Leach, Sr., 64, of 118 Southport Court, Hertford, NC, passed away Monday, June 12, 2023 in his home.

   Mr. Leach was born in Newport News, VA on October 8, 1958. The retired owner and operator of Leach Trucking, he enjoyed fishing, talking with friends, driving, and listening to jazz music.

   Surviving is his former wife, April Olds Leach of Hertford; a daughter, Amanda Leach; two sons, Cedric Michelle Leach, Jr. (Katie) and Cedric M. Sanderlin (Lanora); four sisters, Sabrina A. Chapman, Sharon D. Pemberton, Cynthia L. Pemberton, and Verna M. Hill; two brothers, Caesar L. Clark and Edward T. Pemberton; and six grandchildren, Quayvon and Matthew White, Ahlani and Kylan Leach, Solomon Joyner, and Zion Sanderlin.

   He was preceded in death by his sister, Deborah S. Pemberton.

   A gathering for friends to visit with the family will be held Saturday from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. in Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Home, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford.
