Bradley Erie “Brad” Overton, 64, of Edenton, NC passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 18, 2026.

Born on August 7, 1961, Brad was the husband of Renee Mollette Overton and the son of Elmer Overton, Sr. and Helen Jones Overton, both deceased.

He is survived by his loving wife, Renee; his brother, Elmer Lee Overton, Jr. (Tammy); his nephew, Ryan Lee Overton (Logan); and his very special great niece and nephew, Finlee Gray and Levin Carter.

Brad was known by most everyone in the surrounding three counties. His business, Overton’s Services, had served the surrounding area for close to twenty years.

He loved what he did and built his business from the ground up. Affectionately known as “Big Daddy”, he lived up to his nickname in many ways. He loved to kid with people and it was hard to get one over on him.

The “Big” in Daddy also spoke to the size of his heart. He willingly helped many people that surely needed it. He will be greatly missed for a long time and has created a hole that can’t be filled!

A memorial service celebrating Brad’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at Macedonia Baptist Church, Edenton, NC with Pastor Steven Hill officiating.
