Betty Lou Staton Parker

Betty Lou Staton Parker, 80, of Kill Devil Hills, NC passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 10, 2025.

Betty was born in Portsmouth, VA on November 19, 1944. She was the wife of the late Emmitt Earl Parker, Jr. and the daughter of Rufus Worthly Staton and Marie Frances Small Staton, both deceased.

Survivors include her five children, Jennifer Parker, Tanya Jones and husband, Kevin, Emmitt Parker and wife, Brenda, Clint Parker and wife, Lee, and Clay Parker and wife, Marcie; ten grandchildren, Deacon, Ava Li, Addison, Tessa, Abby, Ainsley, Layne, Bryson, Chase, and Reese; and two sisters, Ruth White, and Teresa Stawson and husband, Brian.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, September 15, 2025 in the Chapel of Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Home, Gatesville, NC with Pastor Burt Pierce officiating. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the funeral home. A private interment will be held at the Parker Family Cemetery.
