Andrew Rodney McGowan

   Andrew Rodney McGowan, 32, of 9584 Newland Road, Creswell, NC, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, in his home where he was cared for by his family.

   Andrew was born on March 10, 1989, and was the son of Aaron Roberson “Robbie” McGowan, Jr. and Carolyn Mathias McGowan. He was a member of Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church.

   In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Rebecca Lynne McGowan of Cary; three brothers, Michael R. Holland (wife, Katie) of Greenville, Shaun W. McGowan of Fort Worth, TX, and Aaron R. “Rob” McGowan, III of Grand Rapids, MI; and several nieces and nephews.

   Andrew graduated from Creswell High School and was proud of his accomplishments. Andrew loved video gaming, movies, sports, music, NASCAR, outdoors and he was an avid Chevrolet fan. His life held many challenges, which he dealt with, with grace. He was happy, stayed positive and he never once complained.

   With the resurgence of the Covid Virus in the area, and with concern for other’s health and wellbeing, the family has planned a private graveside service. For those wishing to remember Andrew, the family suggests memorials be made to Mt. Hermon UMC Cemetery Fund, in care of Sue Lilley, 11456 Newland Road, Creswell, NC 27928.
