Adrienne Britton Meads

   Adrienne Mae Britton Meads, 65, of 157 Hertford Beach Road, Hertford, NC, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2024 in her home.

   Mrs. Meads was born in Chowan County on May 23, 1958 and was the daughter of the late Alvin Ray and Laura Jane Yount Britton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Meads, and by a brother, Percy Britton.

   Surviving is her fiancé of 25 years, Hugh “J.R.” Brick of Hertford; two sisters, Vicki Lassiter (Charlie “J.R.”) of Corapeake and Denice Bradshaw of Suffolk, VA; a brother, Dane Britton of Eure; five half-sisters, Tina Hicks (Bill), Mary Jefferson, Mindy Woods, Lynn Anderson, and Kellie Britton; and by a half-brother, Harold Britton.

   A celebration of her life will be held Sunday, March 3 at 2:00 p.m. on the waterfront lawn at Strick’s Family Campground, 168 Hertford Beach Road, Hertford.
