Michael John Aplikowsky

Michael John Aplikowsky, 75, of 1610 Lane's Landing Road, Edenton, NC, died Friday, September 18, 2015 in Vidant Roanoke-Chowan Hospital, Ahoskie. Mr. Aplikowsky was born in Manhattan, NY on March 25, 1940, and was the son of the late Paul and Helen Barrett Aplikowsky. Retired from Standard Wine & Liquor, he was a veteran of the Vietnam War having served for 13 years in the United States Marine Corps, and was a Catholic by faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Michael Elya. Surviving are his wife, Linda Knapp Aplikowsky; three daughters, Lisa Leung and husband George of East Brunswick, NJ, and Deborah Taylor and Patricia Elya, both of Virginia Beach, VA; a son, Paul Mull of Durant, OK; seven grandchildren, Daniel, Jacob, Thomas, Brittni and husband Ben, Tristan, Odessy, and Sierra; and three great-grandchildren, Haley, Alex, and Caleb. A visitation and viewing for family and friends will be held Tuesday from 6 to 7 p.m. in Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton.
