Helen Evans Swain

   Helen Faye Evans Swain, 71, of 234 Riverby Farm Road, Edenton, NC, passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 in Chowan River Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Edenton.

   Mrs. Swain was born in Chowan County on February 9, 1945, and was the daughter of the late James Elton and Willie Marie Casper Evans.  A homemaker, in addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Tracie Allen Swain; and a brother, Linwood Evans.

   Surviving are her husband of 51 years, Larry Temple Swain; her son, Larry K. Swain and wife Pam of Hertford; a sister, Tina Harrell; three brothers, Ray, Marshall, and Clarence Evans; and a granddaughter, Brittany Lynn Swain.

   A gathering for family and friends will be held Saturday from 5 to 6 p.m. in Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton.  A private burial will be held later on the family plot in Beaver Hill Cemetery.
