Holly Green Rodgers

   Holly Nicole Green Rodgers, 39, of Garrow Circle, Hampton, VA, and formerly of the Holiday Island community, Hertford, NC, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2016 in Sentara Albemarle Medical Center, Elizabeth City.

   Born in Portsmouth, VA on March 3, 1977, she was the daughter of James Allen Green, Jr. and Darlene Umphlett. Employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant for many years, she had a caring spirit and always considered the needs of others. Among her many enjoyments in life included her extensive collection and deep love of Panda bears.

   Surviving in addition to her parents are her finance, David Rodgers; three sons, Jonathan L. Yoder, Terry L. Yoder, III, and David L. Green; a daughter, Hailey Wright; two step-daughters, Alley and Hailey Rodgers; two sisters, Mary Ann Green and Rachel Green; a brother, Benjamin Green; and many extended family members and friends.

   A private service will be held. Miller & Van Essendelft, Funeral and Cremation Providers, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford, is assisting the family with arrangements.
