Anton Joseph Schiffer, Jr.

   Anton Joseph Schiffer, Jr., 80, of 823 North Broad Street, Edenton, NC, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2018, in Elizabeth City Health & Rehabilitation.

   Mr. Schiffer was born in Chicago, IL on December 9, 1937, and was the son of the late Anton Joseph Schiffer, Sr. and Virginia Jones Schiffer. Retired from property management, he was a veteran of the United States Air Force.

   In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, George Schiffer.

   Surviving are his wife, Judith Hopple Schiffer of Leesburg, FL; a daughter, Nancy Whitaker of Newport News, VA; two sons, Steve Schiffer of Edenton and Bruce Schiffer of Newport News; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
